You and I have been taught in American primary education
Classes that the reformation was started by men like
Martin Luther and others to start a separation from the
Catholic old ways. However this is not true the reformation
Began 200 years earlier by Catholic monks and priests that began
debate that suggested Christian influence needs to be focused on.
To the alternative which is Man makes the rules and Christian
instution the tragedy is that many died on the battlefields
in middle east during the 3 crusades or the inquisitions latter on.
Christian Instution is defined as forced religion on the people
Who claim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Christian influence
Is defined as Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior but it is he who
Saves not man and not everyone will be saved. Whether one is saved
Or not only GOD knows the principal here is that teaching the Bible
In the classroom is good thing not just as a book among many but
everyday practical living. One of the Founders is quoted as saying
“The Bible is the Alpha and Omega of knowledge”. As example
‘Do to others as you wish to be done to you ‘or ’Love one another’.
The Reformation is this 1.establishement of a Republic form of
Government out of Exodus 18:17-22
2. Separation of Church and State 2 Chronicles 26:16-20
3. Freedom of Conscience John 13:38
4. Free Economic exercise of religious beliefs Acts 17:23
5. Difference between Theology and Behavior
Sources:
John 13:34 N.I.V
A new command I give you: Love one another.
As I have loved you, so you must love another.
John 13:37-38 N.I.V Freedom of Conscience
Peter asked. “Lord, why can’t I followed you now?
I will lay down my life for you.”
Vs 38
The Jesus answered, “Will you really lay down your life for me?
I tell you the truth, before the rooster crows, you will disown
me three times!”
Exodus 18:21 N.I.V Republic form of government
But select capable men from all the people-men who fear God,
Trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain-and appoint them as
Officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.
2 Chronicles 26:19 Separation between Church and State
Uzziah, who had a censer in his hand ready to burn incense,
Became angry. While he was raging at the priest in their presence
Before the incense altar in the Lord’s temple, leprosy broke
Out on his forehead.
Acts 17:23 Free Economic exercise of religious beliefs
For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects
Of worship, I even found an alter with the inscription:
To an unknown God. Now what you worship as something
Unknown I am going to proclaim to you.
